The AI token is our unit that expresses how much computing power of Helpiner's AI models is consumed when processing your requests. Tokens allow us to fairly measure and charge for actual service usage – across languages, call duration, and task complexity.

What is an AI token

An AI token is a unified unit that expresses the use of computing power of AI models when processing your tasks in Helpiner. Using the AI token, we unify different types and sizes of models into one conversion.

Consumption includes:

• Voice input – transcription (ASR) of your voice to text.
• Request processing – understanding, decision-making, and performing actions (LLM + tools).
• Voice output – converting the response back to natural speech (TTS).

Each of these phases consumes tokens. The total token consumption for an "interaction" (e.g., one query/task) is the sum of all three phases.

Why we use tokens

• Fairness and transparency – you only pay for what you actually use.
• Comparability – different languages and models may have different complexities; the token unifies everything.
• Scaling – more complex tasks (longer texts, integration into corporate systems) consume more tokens; simple actions consume less.

What affects token consumption

• Task complexity (simple query vs. multi-step workflow, data search, tool and integration calls).
• Language and pronunciation (some languages are computationally more demanding or require higher ASR/TTS accuracy).
• Length of input/response (more text = more tokens in LLM and TTS).
• Quality of input request (the more inaccurate inputs requiring clarification, the more tokens consumed).

The price of an AI token depends on your chosen plan. Each plan has:

• A fixed price per AI token.
• A precisely defined number of tokens in the monthly package.
• The option to purchase additional tokens as needed.

How to monitor and optimize consumption

• Real-time consumption preview – in the Helpiner app/settings, you can see your current token consumption / your total available number.
• Corporate user – you don't need to worry about AI tokens, everything is centrally managed by administrator in the corporate profile.
